On Monday 10th March, Mr Greg Whitby visited St Paul's to share his favourite picture book
It [the book] was called 'Hooray for Diffen Dater Day'. He read this story to Year 3. Year 3 were very excited to see his crazy socks and appreciated him giving up his time to come and visit. Photos from the day have been attached below.

Thank you to everyone who took part in tonight’s Winter Stay Out. A special thank you to the St Paul’s staff and the guests from the St Vincent de Paul Society for generously giving up their Friday night to help make this such a meaningful and memorable experience.

The Winter Stay Out is underway! So far, the children have learned about the important work of the St Vincent de Paul Society in supporting people experiencing homelessness. They’ve explored some confronting statistics, written heartfelt cards of hope, set up their sleeping spots for the night, and shared a simple meal of soup and bread. It’s already been an incredibly meaningful experience, full of learning and reflection. A big thank you to Miss Gray for organising this opportunity for Stage Three.

This year students at St Paul the Apostle Primary School had the opportunity to participate in the WriteOn Competition. The annual WriteOn competition is an exciting opportunity for schools, teachers and students to focus on writing. Through the competition, students develop skills in writing to express their ideas and become published authors. Congratulations to all of the students who participated & to the three finalists who have had their work submitted into the competition! 📖

Year 6 Round 3 Debating! 🤩🙌🏽🏆 Both the affirmative and negative team were successful in winning the debate against St Bernadette’s Castle Hill, for the topic ‘Gaming is a sport’ 🎮 Well done to each student, their families and the staff who helped prepare them!! A huge thank you to Ms Bates for once again volunteering her time and expertise as our adjudicator today!

Inspiring future leaders! Our Year 6 students had an incredible opportunity today as they welcomed Mark Taylor MP and the Lord Mayor of Parramatta Council, Mr Martin Zaiter, to our classroom. Year 6 engaged in a wonderful discussion about funding and plans for local and state parliament, sparking some great questions and conversations. Take a look at these incredible handmade blankets! Throughout the year, some of our talented knitting club students have been working hard to create warm, cozy blankets, which they will generously donate this Friday to support people experiencing homelessness. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Tedesco and Mrs Ricketts, as well as very generous grandmothers who volunteered along the way, for sharing their skills in knitting and crocheting. This experience has been a highlight for the children and deeply appreciated by all involved.
