We are thrilled to share some news of our former school secretary, Mrs Pauline Knowler.
Last night Pauline was awarded a Diocesan Medal of Honour for her decades of service to our parish. Pauline has been an example of faith and ministry in her many roles within our parish. These have included her service for St. Vincent de Paul, our parish sacramental team, service as an extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and as reader and commentator at mass. Of course, her work as our school secretary for 40 years was also acknowledged last night too.
Pauline was proudly supported by her family, and many past and present staff members who were keen to show their admiration for a woman who has dedicated much of her life in service to others. We hope you can spot some familiar faces in the photo attached.
Pauline's resilience in the face of adversity, and her compassion and preferential treatment for the poor highlights her commitment to our catholic faith and social teachings.
On the Feast of St. Mary of the Cross Mackillop, we are reminded of our call to 'Never see a need without doing something about it'. Congratulations Pauline, for hearing this call and responding with devotion, faith and generosity.
