A report on the "Buddies Group" from Publishing Team members Nicholas and Jason
Year 6 run the “Buddy Group” every lunchtime. Our dedicated Year 6 group are always helping the Kindergarten children to make new friends through this activity. They play many fun and active games such as foam ball bowling; going across stepping stones; a challenge of skipping; and much more. There are seven Year 6 children working with them each day, and 14 in the whole group. The Kindergarten children are laughing and smiling every day because these Year 6 children put so much effort into making lunchtime fun. These Kindergarten children rely on the Year 6’s to welcome them into Saint Paul’s.

Today, Mrs Sargent and Mrs Henebery held an enrichment numeracy group to provide greater extension and challenge through the depth, breadth and pace of instruction. This trial will be held over a five week period. This group will meet weekly to engage with rigorous mathematical problems and share their solutions using mathematical skills of communication, reasoning and flexibility. We are so proud of the children's enthusiasm for learning today, and their willingness to take on challenge and share solutions respectfully with each other.

⚽️ Yesterday, our Year 4 students had an absolute ball hosting their very own World Cup! 🌍🏆 Although their Soccer Gala Day was unfortunately postponed, it certainly didn't dampen their spirits. Instead, our students took to the field with enthusiasm, teamwork and plenty of determination as they created their own exciting tournament. It was wonderful to see everyone displaying great sportsmanship, encouraging one another and having fun! 👏⚽

🌟 What an incredible morning at our Year 3 Showcase of Talent! 🌟 Our Year 3 students wowed us with an outstanding display of confidence, creativity and courage as they shared their talents with one another. The audience was treated to a wonderful variety of performances, from hilarious comedy acts and energetic dance routines to beautiful piano recitals and captivating theatrical performances. Every student brought something unique to the stage, making it a joyful celebration of the many talents within our Year 3 community. We are so proud of every student who had the courage to perform. Thank you for making the morning so entertaining and for supporting and encouraging one another throughout each performance. Well done, Year 3 you are all stars! ⭐👏🎭🎹💃

Last Friday night, our Year 5 and 6 students as well as staff took part in the Winter Stay Out in support of St Vincent de Paul. Through this experience, participants gained a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness while raising awareness and support for those in need. Thank you to our wonderful conference members from Vinnies who contributed to this meaningful event. 💙❄️
