A report on the "Buddies Group" from Publishing Team members Nicholas and Jason
Year 6 run the “Buddy Group” every lunchtime. Our dedicated Year 6 group are always helping the Kindergarten children to make new friends through this activity. They play many fun and active games such as foam ball bowling; going across stepping stones; a challenge of skipping; and much more. There are seven Year 6 children working with them each day, and 14 in the whole group. The Kindergarten children are laughing and smiling every day because these Year 6 children put so much effort into making lunchtime fun. These Kindergarten children rely on the Year 6’s to welcome them into Saint Paul’s.

Despite the rain, families found places to gather together to read a book and relax! Thank you to everyone who was able to join us at St Paul’s for an afternoon of reading. 📚📖📚

Year Two have been enjoying ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ as their read-aloud book over the past few weeks. The children have loved exploring this classic tale by Roald Dahl. To extend their English learning, they had the opportunity to watch the film adaptation! 🎥🍿

Kindergarten proudly presented their second assembly of the year, showcasing the theme 100 Days of Learning. Students shared the fantastic work they have accomplished, followed by a wonderful song performance. They should be extremely proud of their efforts and achievements!

Drawing club is exploring the magic a lead pencil can produce.With just a pencil and a little imagination simple lines ,shapes and shading .The children are creating magnificent artworks where they have visualised their innovative thoughts and feelings and presented them on paper. It also brings a peacefulness that ignites artistic talents at our Friday drawing club. Thanks Mrs Ricketts for sharing your expertise with the children.

Year 6 VOICE OF YOUTH school finals. 🎤 🎤 🎤 🎤 🎤 🎤 🎤 🎤 🎤 🎤 🎤 🎤 This morning our talented Year 6 finalists public speakers presented their Voice of Youth speeches to Year 5 and Year 6 students, as well as parents. They did an amazing job and had very interesting topics to speak about. It was a very difficult decision by our judges, however the top 2 students were Aniella and Josie! ⭐️⭐️ They will proceed to compete against other schools next week. 🗣️ Well done girls!👏🏽

Stage 2 students had a fantastic time during our Geography incursion today, exploring how and why places are similar and different. We took part in a range of engaging activities, from designing safe habitats for a blue-tongue lizard or quokka, to investigating temperature differences in various places, and learning about our impact on oceans and rivers. A highlight of the day was a fun and competitive race that put our new knowledge to the test. We were lucky to have the sun shine on us, making the experience even more enjoyable. Year 4 took their learning outdoors today, exploring the playground to discover symmetry in the world around them. From the matching halves of leaves to a range of playground equipment, the children spotted and sketched real-life examples of symmetrical shapes. It was a fun, hands-on way to bring their classroom learning to life!
